Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Revive Church of LaPorte, Colorado: We are based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical truths.
God
There is one eternally, existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, and through all of creation itself. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.

Isaiah 9:6

The Bible
The Bible was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error.

The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, they lost their original purpose and became distorted reflections of His image. As a result, they fell out of fellowship with God, bringing brokenness into creation that has persisted ever since. Humans are created in God's spiritual image, designed to reflect His character. While every person has immense potential for good, we are all affected by "sin" —a rebellious nature- that separates us from God and leads to many struggles in life.

Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved.

Baptism
Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness.”
